AB Karl Hedin Emballage has acquired Boardic AB with the Estonian subsidiaries Boardic Eesti OÜ and Boardic Property OÜ. Boardic AB becomes a subsidiary of AB Karl Hedin Emballage and sales continue under the Boardic brand.
– I am very pleased that Karl Hedin takes over as owner of Boardic, says Per Ekerbring, former main owner and founder of Boardic AB. It is a vibrant family business that operates in and cares for its locals, both in terms of customers and staff! I am convinced that this is the absolute best new owner and that they will provide the best conditions for further development of the business in both Sweden and Estonia. AB Karl Hedin has the resources and the offensive attitude required to meet tomorrow’s customer needs.
– In recent years, we have had a close collaboration with Boardic and now is the right time to take the next step! The synergies with the current business are many and with the acquisition, we will broaden our offer on the market. We welcome all new colleagues and are looking forward to customers testing us and the strength of our broader concept and product range, concludes Oskar Ryno, CEO at AB Karl Hedin Emballage.
About AB Karl Hedin
Karl Hedin is one of Sweden’s leading privately owned wood trading groups. We are proud to stand for security, local presence, high quality, competent staff and a wide product range, while we care for both people and nature at the places where we operate. Today we are about 1000 employees and had a turnover of about 5 billion SEK in 2020. We have full control of the value chain, from our own forest to sawmills, packaging factories and hardware stores, or as we say – from plant to plank.
