Scarf jointing

Description

We scarf-joint wooden boards at our factory in Estonia. For a scarf joint, the edge of the board is sawn at an angle so the sawn area is approx. 8 times the thickness. The surfaces are glued and pressed together under high temperature and pressure. We scarf boards from 4 mm to 15 mm thick. Most are birch and Elliotis pine plywood. The widest board we can scarf together is 2440 mm. Scarfing in both directions is possible. You can buy the boards in standard sizes up to 2400x3600mm. We can also supply longer boards (‘black size’) direct from the scarfing line with a tolerance of +-10mm.
